Acceptance matters — but is it the same for everyone?
The Dutch Lhbtiqa+ Monitor 2026, conducted by Movisie, Panteia and Ipsos I&O, reveals a worrying gap between public attitudes towards different LGBTQIA+ groups.
While 84% of people in the Netherlands view gay and lesbian people positively, the figures are lower for non-binary people (52%) and transgender people (63%). LGBTQIA+ people also experience more discrimination and poorer mental health than non-LGBTQIA+ people.
These findings remind us why projects like UNITY Project CERV matter. Building inclusive communities starts with understanding different experiences, challenging discrimination and making space for every voice.
