During Days 7–8 of EcoSteps, participants explored environmental topics through debates, taking turns defending, opposing and observing different positions.
We also joined a clean-up activity in a local park in Lębork. What surprised us most was how many tiny pieces of plastic can remain almost invisible while continuing to pollute the environment for years.
The days ended with cultural evenings hosted by Latvia, the Netherlands, and our Polish hosts. We learned more about each other’s history, traditions, and everyday life. The Dutch team, naturally, also shared their national treasure: memes.
One final lesson for the future: Dutch liquorice is best appreciated in the Netherlands. Some culinary traditions are simply too powerful to export.
