Being part of the CEFEC Annual Conference 2025 in Mainz was not just insightful—it was a strong reminder of why we do what we do. 🎥✨
From the keynote on “AI – Opportunities for Inclusion”, to the deeply engaging dialogue groups on IT-recycling and circular economy in textiles, the conference highlighted how innovation and accessibility can—and must—go hand in hand.
💬 We were particularly drawn to the discussions around data-driven decision-making in job carving (presented by Ophir Peleg from Shekulo Tov) and the vocational assessment strategies shared by Ute Fragner from ATRIUM. These sessions sparked important ideas for how storytelling tools can help visualize inclusion, show impact, and amplify the voice of those often left out of mainstream narratives.
🍯 Visiting the Social Urban Beekeeping initiative was a powerful moment. It showed how community-based, low-barrier employment can thrive—and how visual media can bring these models to life for others to learn from.
We left Mainz with new collaborations on the horizon, a renewed sense of purpose, and ideas for translating these inclusive approaches into compelling digital formats.
💡 What voices or projects from the conference do you think deserve a wider audience? We’d love to hear them👇
