Today we participated in the very first GENLINK Civic Café: Navigating the Noise — and it was a truly insightful experience.
A huge thank you to the organisers, the speaker, and everyone who joined the session and contributed to such an engaging discussion around misinformation, AI-generated content, scams, phishing and digital safety.
One of the most interesting activities was trying to guess whether videos were AI-generated or real — which turned out to be much more difficult than expected 👀
We also tested our phishing detection skills… and discovered that scammers are unfortunately getting more creative every day.
Beyond the activities, the webinar opened important conversations about how we navigate online spaces, verify information and stay critical in a digital world shaped by algorithms and AI-generated content.
We are especially happy to see young people leading discussions like this and creating space for peer learning, participation and open dialogue.
Thank you again to the GENLINK team for this thoughtful and interactive session.
