Beyond the Screen supports adult educators working in online environments by helping them stay motivated, resilient, and confident when teaching digitally. As digital learning continues to grow, many educators face challenges such as burnout, low engagement, and limited peer support. This project aims to address those challenges by equipping e-educators with practical tools, innovative resources, and a supportive European network.
The project is just beginning, with partners currently aligning objectives, defining research approaches, and preparing the first outputs.

Objectives

  • Strengthen the digital readiness and resilience of adult e-educators.
  • Support long-term motivation when teaching online across different age groups.
  • Bring the well-being of online educators into the public conversation.
  • Introduce vidcasts and comic strips as engaging tools for online teaching.
  • Create a peer-to-peer support network for shared learning among educators.

Activities

During the project, partners will:

  • Develop a self-assessment tool to help educators evaluate motivation levels and identify their skill profiles.
  • Create an Interactive E-Trainers Manual featuring vidcasts and comic strips focused on maintaining motivation in digital teaching environments.
  • Organize a “from educators to educators” blended workshop designed for exchange, co-creation, and professional support.
  • Host six multiplier events to share project outcomes with wider communities across partner countries.

Impact & Outcomes

  • Higher awareness of the importance of digital well-being and sustained motivation in online teaching.
  • Practical support through a self-assessment tool and an Interactive E-Trainers Manual.
  • Increased familiarity with creative teaching resources like vidcasts and comic strips.
  • The foundation of a European support network for e-educators committed to resilient and engaging digital teaching.
